The honest answers to what usually comes up before someone books a call.
The cleaning fee charged to guests goes straight to whoever cleans the unit — we don't take a cut of it. Everything else, the accommodation revenue, is split between you and GCG Stay based on the commission rate we agree on before you sign.
Our standard agreement runs for one year. If you need to leave sooner, we ask for one month's notice, and you'd cover the cost of the listing setup and marketing already invested in your property. Any reservations already confirmed for your unit stay commissionable, even during the wind-down.
Our full, hands-on service is focused on Greater Montreal. We also support owners elsewhere in Canada and in Dubai with select remote services — pricing strategy, listing management, guest communication — though on-the-ground work like cleaning and check-in stays local to Montreal for now.
It depends on your property's condition and how ready it is to list. Already furnished and guest-ready? Setup usually takes 2 to 4 days. Needs furnishing? Anywhere from one to three weeks, depending on what's available in the market.
Most platforms release funds to hosts about a day after guest arrival, so the money lands directly in your account — not ours. At the end of each month, GCG Stay sends you an invoice for our commission, and you have 2 days to settle it.
It depends on the platform. On Airbnb, AirCover protects hosts, and we help you file the claim. On other platforms, a security deposit and rental agreement are in place to help cover the cost.
Every booking requires ID verification and a signed rental agreement, and we check a guest's review history before confirming. We do our best to keep anyone who isn't a good fit out of your home.
Permits and municipal registration are the property owner's legal responsibility — that's not something we can take on for you. What we do provide is the roadmap: exactly which permits apply to your property and how to apply for them.
Anything time-sensitive comes straight to you by message — we don't let that sit in an inbox. Everything else, like monthly statements and service reports, arrives automatically by email.
We keep an open mind — our portfolio spans a wide range of listings. What matters most to us is you: if you're willing to invest in the space and collaborate with us on a great guest experience, we want to work together.
A 20-minute call is usually enough.
